Vienna - Page 3

And did I mention we soon had our favorite bars?

We discovered them on our own walking pub crawl one night..here are two of the earlier pictures..the later ones…we were too busy singing to take pictures! The young lady who was our helpful bartender was from Serbia, studying international law in Vienna in German, her second (maybe third or fourth) language. I was impressed!

We took a subway to the Museum Quarter (I always have a moment of panic when Dan cries, “Let’s take the subway, I have a map!”) and later a hop-on hop off bus (my feet were really tired by then).

I’m going to sit back for a second here and watch the city go by. And then we hopped off and went shopping! I found a local yarn store. I went in to cuddle and stroke the yarn the way knitters do in the US. But nooooooooooo…there was a little red string across the aisle and only trained yarn professionals could go and get the exact quantity you need

No yarn cuddling for you!

Also on this page, Austrian Parliament, MuseumsQuartier, Secession Building, Opera House, one of the tallest buildings in Europe, the 'less than blue' Danube, Prater Wheel, Katy Perry and Strauss House.
