Let the people praise thee, O God: yea, let all the people praise thee.
O let the nations rejoice and be glad: for thou shalt judge the folk righteously, and govern the nations upon earth.
Let the people praise thee, O God: yea, let all the people praise thee.
Then shall the earth bring forth her increase: and God, even our own God, shall give us his blessing.
God shall bless us: and all the ends of the world shall fear him.
All: Glory be to the Father, the son and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be. Amen.
A lesson from the New Testament read by Betty Ann Yarus: 1Corinthians 13 4:7 & 13 (New American)
Reader: A reading from the first letter of Paul to the Corinthians.
Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, (love) is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, love does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.
It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Reader: Here endeth the second lesson Answer: Thanks be to God. Second Hymn - Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart
