March 2011
Return to Texas
Though the last week in March was cold and snowy, the weather has slowly improved and we had a couple of Spring like weeks and hopefully the end of the snow.
Fortunately for one of those weeks we were in Texas - Hah! Where the weather was lovely, Dan had a bit of business in Dallas and then we went on to Houston to hang out with friends and check out the Rodeo.
Back home, Josh (ny nephew) started writing to me, so I thought I would send him some pictures of my office. I also got to visit the Harvard Club for another meeting, nice, but no Oxford ;-)
Finally I wanted to show off my new telescope, a Christmas gift from Judy, we have had it outside to look at the moon a couple of times, but it's been too cold and cloudy to see much else.
The full moon in March was actually a Supermoon, the closest it will come to Earth this year, so it was even bigger and brighter than normal.
Now that the weather is warming up we are hoping to enjoy a couple of nights staring at the stars from the comfort of the deck with a nice glass of wine.
