Judy and Julia

We recently watched the movie Julie and Julia, then we read the book, then we ordered Julia Child's cookbooks (x2), then we ordered her autobiography and finally Judy got cooking. I have to say the results were formidable!

We had our first snow of any consequence into the morning of Saturday January 21st. Quite late for these parts and so thoughtfully delivered on the weekend! We are hoping for a nice short, mild winter. After that Halloween storm last year maybe we deserve one?

Of course Tila loves the snow, so very early one morning while the other member of the pack was still sound asleep I went out with him and got some pretty nice pictures.

During the end of January we flew the Australian flag to celebrate Australia Day and some of my ancestors who were among the convicts on the First Fleet who founded the country we know today.

Now February is upon us, Valentines Day is just around the corner and, if the fact that the tulips are poking through the ground is anything to go by, Spring can't be far behind that!
