High Summer...
As you will see from the pictures, modern technology has allowed Dan to work from home for a few days this summer. A much better view than from the office and of course he gets to spend more time with Tila.
Our various little horticultural efforts continue to bear fruit. Among other things we have red currants, some lovely grapes and huge cucumbers
After getting stuck with the fabulous Dodge Charger one too many times Judy decided she wanted something a good deal more practical for the winter. In the end we decided on a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Though not quite as flashy or as fast, it should get us through the winter in much better shape. Judy has already decided that it is easier to drive as well.
The big project of the summer, in lieu of a trip abroad, has been taking care of the two main bathrooms, since one of them had a leak in the tub this is well overdue. Although it's taken far longer than we wanted we are well pleased with the end results.
One of the nicest things about the summer are the long nights out on the deck with a glass or two of wine, from our lovely new wine rack made by the Amish in Pennsylvania.
Finally, Dan celebrated another birthday by visiting Ondine, our favorite French restaurant. All things considered it's been a pretty good summer so far and we are very thankful considering the mess in the world outside.
